It should be great for golf, Craig, especially with the FT1 and a telephoto zoom. I have shot mine with the 70-200 vrII and it works like a charm.

I couldn't agree more Jim, nice little review. I just got my Nikon V1 with the three lens kit, and decided to try it's hand at golf photography. I was assigned to shoot a pro golf tournament and though the silent shutter would be just the ticket. I shoot for three days and loved every minute of it. Wish I would have had the FT 1 converter to put a long zoom on it though, but wasn't sure I would buy one until now. The V1 is one of my favorite cameras of all time. Almost up there with my long-gone Canon T-90!

I was just thinking the other day about April being that kind of month in our lives--both of Michael's parents died in the month of April and, even though all is wonderfully well now, two years ago, our sweet Kate made her early arrival with all its attendant drama (C-section and hospitalization for her mama) in the month of April as well. I will remembered your "tangles" photo when the time rolls around. As always, thanks, Jim, for a thoughtful reflection.
