About Jim

I’m a writer, speaker/teacher, fanatic adopter of new technology, compulsive learner, avid photographer, sometimes fisherman, occasional golfer, and sometimes practical theologian who loves sharing life with others.   I’ll write about all of that and more on this blog.

You may want to check out Difficult Seasons, the blog I’ve been pouring a lot into lately.  You’ll also find some of the most recent posts from it in the sidebar.

Here are a few other things to help you know me a little better:

  • Faith:  Christian who serves as an elder at First Colony Church of Christ;  lay chaplain for Lifeline Chaplaincy;  lead caregiving support group.
  • Nonprofit Leadership:  past Chairman of the Board, Greater SW Houston Chamber;  past President, Texaco Retiree Club of Houston; Chair, community landscape committee.
