
There’s something about the red-orange eyes of a Yellow Crested Night Heron that just grab and hold your attention. I think they also have beautiful plumage, but it’s always the eyes that I focus on.
Now you’re probably asking what he’s doing out in the daylight if he’s a night heron. I don’t know. You’d have to ask his mother, but I do know that it’s not uncommon for night herons to be out doing their thing during the day as well.
