Hurricane Allen pumped lots of rain storms into the high desert while we were visiting Guadalupe Mountains National Park. It kept things nice and cool.
In general, it made photography challenging. But I think it is really what makes this photo special — the low clouds, almost obscuring the background mountains, yet interesting light in the foreground.
Even on a stormy day, it was a great place to be, to experience.
And there’s probably a lesson there for stormy days in our lives, huh.
