I don’t know specifically what Madi is so intently looking at that she decided to move the blinds to get a clearer view. But it’s easy to see that she is fascinated by what she sees. It might have been a bug or a bird, or maybe just leaves blowing in the wind. She’s discovered the outdoors, and she wants to be out there discovering. She doesn’t mind that it’s 97 degrees.
When I look out through the blinds, I’m also sometimes amazed. It may be a bird or a dragon fly, or even a stick insect. But there are also the times I just see the work that needs to be done, or recognize that the heat is uncomfortable and that staying in the cool might be better.
I want to be more like Madi — always fascinated, always drawn to explore, always amazed. I bet you do too!
