Ducks and Geese — Oh My!

I visited one of our local parks this afternoon for a few minutes, and found the ducks and geese showing off, so I thought I would share a few shots.

I’ll start with one of my favorite shots of the day. Just love the big brown eyes, and the seeming “I’m pleased with myself” look.

Here’s a group shot with three beautiful birds wistfully looking out on the lake. Just makes you wonder what they might be thinking, doesn’t it? And don’t you just love the way the one on the right has it’s foot tucked up?

Here’s a shot of two of these guys who got in for a leisurely swim. And to get away from the guy with the camera who got a little too close for their comfort.

The third bird of the group finally decided to get into the water, and this is my favorite shot of the day. Just a gorgeous creature!

Next I focused on some ducks that were doing some grooming and bathing. The splashing to create a shower was quite comical to watch. Water everywhere!
